-          Malaysia ought to focus on long term/structural growth
-          Rebalancing of China means increase wages and increase R&D. The formal would benefit Malaysia in terms of factories shifting from China to Malaysia however the later means Malaysia high-skilled workers might be in demand/moving to China.
-          Malaysia ought to increase tax/fiscal, reduce household debts, improve regulatory, and improve competitiveness.
-          Industries that would soar: Services, Oil & Gas & Energy, Knowledge-based & high value-added manufacturing. Specific examples are High-tech products, green & eco products, medical/health, solar, LED.

Where For Art Thou, Malaysian Talent – How Business, the Government and the Higher Education Sector Can Work Together to Address Malaysia’s Talent Gaps
-          In the 70’s, students found jobs with ANY degree qualification
-          In the 80’s, students found jobs with the RIGHT degree qualification
-          In the 90’s, with the above, students found jobs with specific subjects being studied
-          The above phenomenon happens due to global competition, government regulatory and companies being picky
-          When employers are blaming on talent gaps, they should rethink whether there is really a gap or the employment requirement is too high and with little pay.
-          Universities and Employers ought to provide more experience-showed training instead of just classroom training

• Be very close to your advisors because they are experienced and see things from a bigger perspective
• Do not have expectation on the task given to the task leader because you would become the leader over monitoring instead.

• Pray that God would let your to capture the vision. The written vision is just words to express. More importantly is that God implants it in your heart.
• Know people strengths and weaknesses and challenge them accordingly
• In regards to balancing ministry, family and work, pray to God to use your time more effectively and wisely.
• The biggest problem in our church is that we are always choosing and doing something that we are certain that it can be achieved.
• Maybe not to be called discipleship but fellowship/gathering/hang out
• Weakness in social is to be forced to take initiative and courage to break through
• SS is already doing discipleship and DW considers to venture more in this area and HZ has the similar burden – invest in the future

• You will get to know yourself more as your know the Creator better
• How English CG helps to revive Chinese CG? One way Chinese CG could help is to continue to be enthusiastic and let the flame burn on Eng CG again.
• Next year would be an interesting year where church would encounter insufficient income to cover expenses. Perhaps this is a test of putting our trust on God.
• When you do something out of your comfort zone this is where the true test of relying on God comes in.
• What is more important? Successfully running an activity vs Growing more closer to God in running the activity. End results vs Processes.
• President has to take core of EXCO’s spiritual life. During time of downs, advisors could assist to take up the role.
• It’s not about the position but the submission of yourself to God.
• As the clay, we are to be submissive to the Potter to mould us.

1) 2 Timothy 2:2

And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.

2) Reason why HZ decided to serve in MCCC for full time

Do I want to choose a routine and comfortable life or something that I would do it from my heart, with full of passion and burning fire? Certainly, if I had not taken the opportunity or decided to go into engineering career my heart will become less passionate and cold down.

3) Addition vs Multiplication

We ought to apply the multiply structure where 1 becomes 2 and 2 multiplies into 4 and so on and so forth. How to find out? Should a leader leave the role, the ministry/movement would not stop there but continue to be led by another leader.

4) Ministry vs Movement

Ministry ceases when the leader leaves but movement keeps progressing because the successor has been trained to take over.

5) How does a president/leader show love and concern for his/her committees?

-          Look after his or her spiritual life as many problems are causing from the misalignment of our relationship with God

-          Suggest good books to read

-          Held a retreat to recharge committees batteries

-          Organize appreciation feast or celebration to appreciate the hard work of committees.

-          Most importantly, the president must always be accountable regardless to himself/herself or other people in cultivating a close relationship with God to know God’s will.

6) Teaching vs discipleship

7) Leadership/Committee Structure

President is like the bus driver whilst committees are like the parts of the bus such as tyre, steering, seats, windows and etc. On the other hand, members are like the passengers. President ought to take care of the committees and committees would look after the members. President ought to be sensitive to know his bus conditions and call for a stop, go for petrol, decrease the speed or change the direction when it is necessary. The bus driver has to make sure the bus is moving in the right direction.

I am agreeable with this structure because we ought to look after the closest/nearest group of people first. After all, resources and energy are scarce. This reminds me a passage in the Bible.

Acts 1: 8

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

8) Criteria for selecting discipleship candidate

9) How to know whether God wants you go for a position/direction?

Do I have the passion/heart/burden in me? Instead of always thinking whether I am capable or not, try to ask this question because if God would like you to go He would prepare for the rest.

 Jeremiah 33:3

‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’

10) Leader is like the head of the body

Internally, a leader needs to know the activities in the ministry. Externally, a leader must be aware of the church as a whole. A leader is to coordinate the body parts.
