Spiritual Formation

Spiritual Formation
- for the Christians basically refers to the Spirit –driven process of forming the inner world of the human self in such a way that it becomes like the inner being of Christ Himself

6 basic aspects of human life:
1) Thought (images, concepts, judgements, inferences)
- our action tells what we believe
2) Feeling (sensation, emotion)
3) Choice (will, decision, character)
4) Body (action, interaction with the physical world)
5) Social context (personal and structural relations to others)
- If there is no love for others we will either act to attack or to withdraw/ignore
6) Sour (the factor that integrates all of the above to form one life)

The Golden Triangle of Spiritual Growth

We need to practice God’s presence with us but how?
- we need to turn our thoughts to God constantly, because God has always been with us.

Conclusion
Spiritual formation is not about trails by oneself but it is rather training by God. It is a process. It is about a relationship with God. The focus is not bout something being achieved or not but it’s a bout surrendering everything to God!
